Due date.

Images of my design space for upstairs (Rolex) and downstairs (Hazan Motor Works).

Sectional drawings from my notebook. Funny how it evolves in design as it's being modelled  as opposed to what it looked like on paper.

A few sectional animations, just get a better idea of the design space

Textures.

The first photo is from the bottom floor of Hazan Motor Works. Theres hexagonal patterns o the walls that mirror the fundamentally hexagonal design of the space. On the floor is a patter design for nature. The second photo is a smaller space for Rolex, with a uniform brick like pattern across the floor.

Videos that fit with my design aesthetic of the underground space for Hazan Motor Works. White spaces, open design, simple but effective stairs.

Oweek.

This is my first finished work from my body of work for HSC art. During that whole experience I ran into many different hurdles and road bumps. I kept switching which medium I was going to focus on, first considering printmaking, and then battling between charcoal and acrylic paint. Eventually settling for paint (which i ultimately regret), I was stuck again on a huge major work that spanned about 1.5m wide by 1m tall for the better half of the year. This work here above is what I came up with out of desperation as the clock drew closer to the due date. With a term and a half left, I produced this work and even though I don't exactly like it aesthetically, I'm happy that I was still able to create something that to me was new.

Since a very young age, I've always been drawn to designs that utilised space very well. I was always attracted to the idea of small housing, of living in compact spaces. This was probably one of the first building designs I fell in love with. The way the architects commanded space and we're able to fit all living necessities in an area so small (7.8m^2) made me believe one day we would all be able to feel a sense of comfort in a space so seemingly claustrophobic. However in order to do so I believe we must embrace the separation of house and home. This building may be a home to some, but I believe primary it functions as a house. Functionally, there is a fully equipped toilet, small kitchen space, bed, and most importantly privacy. Really, it's all you need.

I took this photo in a secret spot somewhere around manly with two other of my closest friends. We we're lucky the weather turned out quite well. A lot of my friends from my group liked the photo so much they kept asking me where I took it, and I still haven't told them. The two people I went with aren't friends anymore, which is kind of sad. In fact out of the four people I was with that day, none of the other three are on speaking terms with each other. It's sad but, this photo was taken at a place where the friendship was really strong and solid. It captures that moment where everything seemed right.
